Happy Veterans Day from Beyer Carpet Cleaning

Today, Tuesday, November 11, 2014 is Veterans Day in the United States of America. Today is a significant day to many of as we know the sacrifice and courage it takes to serve in the armed forces. Schools and organizations across the nation are putting on special concerts, programs, and events to honor those who have served our nation.

At our daughter’s elementary school they are putting on program to honor veterans. They have invited all veterans to attend this veterans day program so they can personally honor them. The school has put up a Wall of Veterans with pictures and info regarding our loved ones who have served. As attendees walk into the school there is a line of students waving American flags welcoming them to their school. Our daughter has been practicing the “Star Spangled Banner” all week because she wanted to have it down perfectly for the program as they will be singing it for all to hear. Since last week they have been learning what or who are Veterans and what they have done. They also made Bald Eagles out of finger print to line the entrance wall of their school cafeteria. Her school has gone all out for Veterans day not only because it is such a great day in our country but also because we live in a highly populated military area part of town. There are 2 bases close to our home and we honored to see and welcome military men and women into our neighborhood and community. Living in San Antonio we get to see military men and women in uniform all the time. It is a constant reminder of how honored we are to have them serve our country. They are hard working people whom at the end of the day are normal family men and women and are trying to provide the best life style and safe place to live for their family.

May God keep His hand upon those who are still serving and bless those who have served and sacrificed for something greater. May He give them strength to endure and may His love surround them as they are away from their family.
