Your carpet will dry in a timely manner and because it is cooler there is a lesser chance of carpet being wet longer. The longer your carpet is wet the higher the chances for deep stains to resurface. Heat is never ideal for carpet once it has been cleaned. The cooler the better because heat attracts bacteria and germs! This, however, does not imply one should not clean their carpets during the warmer or hotter seasons. You’ll just have to make sure the A/C is running at a low temperature. So many times people are selling a house or are renters moving out and will have their carpets cleaned as the last step but will shut everything off and leave the house. This is never a good idea because when it is hot outside it is even hotter inside. That heat will have the carpet smelling and at risk for growing mold. Then in turn the carpet will have to not only be cleaned but most likely treat with an anti-fungal. During the cooler season you don’t have to worry about that A/C as much just making sure every room is properly ventilated but it is always a good idea to have the A/C set even if it doesn’t kick on.
